Meet Forius – The New Name Behind UPIC Credit Services

Minneapolis, MN -- July 21, 2006 -- NACM Business Credit Resources, PPAI’s endorsed partner for business credit information, has changed its name to Forius™. The new name and graphic identity is a major step in articulating the firm’s unique brand and clarifying its position as a leader in the field of business credit.

The new Forius name has been incorporated into the UPIC Credit Services logo and already has started appearing on credit reports and other materials.

“Promotional product professionals are in the branding business, so they understand the value and importance of a strong brand,” said Don Mosher, CAE, president of Forius. “Our new brand marks a turning point -- a new era in our partnership with PPAI, and a promise to continue helping distributors and suppliers who want to gain a competitive advantage through the strategic management of business credit.”

Forius remains the Minneapolis-Saint Paul affiliate of the National Association of Credit Management (NACM). “That’s our heritage and our foundation,” said Mosher. “We helped launch NACM 110 years ago, and we’ve been a leading NACM affiliate ever since. But we’ve been much more than that, too. We needed a brand identity that captures our entrepreneurial spirit. Forius captures that spirit perfectly.”

Even though Forius is an invented word, it has real meaning, said Jerry Janes, CBF, the company’s relationship manager for PPAI and UPIC Credit Services. “The ‘for’ represents forums and communities, such as the UPIC Credit Group, that we’ve built to support the business credit function,” said Janes. “The ‘i’ in the middle represents inclusion – the multiple perspectives needed for a world-class credit operation. And the ‘us’ at the end is a reminder that effective credit management helps ALL of us achieve profitable customer relationships.”
